Do You See Opportunity in This Transit?
joyrjw Posts 1

Hi I checked my transits for today and they seemed a little odd. It looks as if I might have something related to opportunities in art in my career. What do you think? Or if you see something else please let me know. I could really use a second(or third etc) opinion on this. Thank you!

Progressed Charts
Jackie Sherbow Posts 1

Hi, Dorothy. Thanks for the question. Yes, to progress a chart you count one day for a year. If you were born on May 8, 1937, then you look to May 9 for one year of age. The planet placements on that date represent one year. If you are 73 years old now, you look to the planet placements of July 20, and this is the progressed date for your 73rd year.
Best wishes, Jackie Sherbow Editorial Admin. Assistant

How exactly do you calculate progressed charts? My birth date was May 8 1937. Do I count from May 8 (which would make July 20 the progressed date) or count from May 9 which would be July 21, 1937 ... same time of day and location. Thanks.

William Schreib May article on Craig Ferguson
Bonnie Posts 1

William lists Craig's birth time as 6:10 p.m. In Ferguson's autobiography, "American On Purpose," he lists his birth time as 6:10 a.m. Could William simply jotted it down wrong? The a.m. time gives Ferguson a Gemini ascendant which is far more probable than a Libra ascendant with the p.m. time.
Anyone have any better information?

Pluto in Capricorn

Hello! An interesting question to post...personally,Pluto is in my 3rd house.I am an Aries with Sun in the 6th.My own Pluto is in Leo in the 10th.My AC is 3 Sco Since Pluto is in my 3rd(normally a Gemini House) it's coloured by the Gemini influence....I've been reading MORE History then ever before.I really stopped reading astrology at this time. The only change in my fiances is a switch of jobs inside the company I work for...I have worked in the library for now 11 years and due to shortage of money(We are a City Library.)I was moved from a job with more freedom to a more restrictive job to what I did before. But,I love my job and known most of the people I work with In short, not a huge shake up here.Maybe it's because I'm a Cardinal Water person.

Something to ponder

Hello,Fellow AstroFriends!! Here is something to ponder...we all know the famous date of July 4,1776 which started America off on the road we are on who live here BUT do you know THIS date Sept.3,1783?? This is the date we signed the Treaty of Paris which OFFICIALLY ended our war with Britian but the ratification wasn't finally all accepted until Jan.14,1784 by the US and April 9,1784 by Great Britian. My question to all of you is THIS...Isn't the Treaty of Paris our REAL birthday?? Before the war was won we were STILL British citizens and not offically free and recognized as a FREE Nation.I suggest you read the Articles of the Treaty. I used a 12 pm time for the signing but it could had been sooner or later. It shows a Scorpio AC for that time and Sept.3rd at Paris.

Hello Crass,
I'm not sure how long ago you contacted AFA, but have you tried again recently? Sometimes emails get missed/lost.
I used to have many old Dell Horoscope magazines, but many were destroyed by flood damage. I had to (crying) throw them out. I may have someone that can help you. Let me send him a message in Facebook (by this weekend) and see.
Blessings & WHL,
Grace Siregar

Long time reader of the magazine, here. Some years back, Dell Horoscope published an article of several pages on occultations and how to put them to work for best advantage and how to avoid the problems occultations can bring. I think it was by Carl Fischer. I wrote to the present editor and requested a "Notable Reprint" but apparently, the articles are unindexed and so I was declined. I'm sure Dell would reprint it, to everyone's benefit, if we could locate the article. I even wrote to the AFA where a complete collection is housed but rec'd no reply even though I am a professional member. Does anyone remember this article? I think Donna Cunningham would but there is no way to reach that busy astrologer.

Lou's article seems to be based on a 2004 book by Karen Christino called What Evangeline Adams Knew, which presents her readings and analyzes her forecasts and the astrology methods she used. Foreseeing the Future, a biography of Adams also by Christino, is fascinating as well. But since Adams lived in NY I don't think she ever said anything about California!

I was enthralled with Lou Ashby's article on Evageline Adams and New York City. Expecially the detective work about how she made her predictions. Will he be doing more for the magazine? This is really interesting stuff!

Your Moon Sign-Your Core

I've read lots of Zodiac Information, but I haven't taken any instructive classes ,so I'm not fully learned in all the kinds of techniques used to determine personal charts.
I seem to have two different moon signs one place said it was at one sign and another place said it was on some other ,so of course you can't get an idea of your moon personality if you have too many moon signs.
Maybe they were using dofferent kinds of charting techniques? I know there are more than one kind

Zodiac Gemstone Assignment

Is there more than one type of gemstone that can be assigned to each zodiac sign? This website assigns the Opal stone for the sign of Libra, but other zodiac advice sites say the sapphire stone,in fact most sites say the sapphire stone is Libra.
What does Opal signify as compared to Sapphire?

I just got my magazine subscription and it starts in February 2010. But I'd like to have seen the Lucky Zodiacal Numbers for Libra for January. Specifically for the date of January 26,2010. I was wondering if any of you with a Jan.2010 Dell Horoscope Book would be so kind as to post what the number for Libra is on Jan,26,2010. Here it is again: I'd like to know the Lucky Zodiacal Number for JANUARY 26,2010 for the Sign LIBRA.
If anyone can post it I'll be grateful.
